SO ALEX, WHY IS THIS YOUR SONG OF THE WEEK?

After the ‘Issues’ songstress joined Mullingar’s finest as the opening act on the UK and Europe leg of his world tour last year, it was perhaps a little inevitable that they would end up working on one or another’s records in some capacity.

And so it is we find ourselves with this, the lead single from the first of Julia’s ‘Inner Monologue’ EPs. Much like Nialler’s own collaboration with Maren Morris on his last album, their voices are a really pleasing mix together on this contemporary acoustic pop ballad with a slight gospel feel.

Their debut performance of the track on The Late Late Show in America with Niall’s old buddy James Corden earlier this week has highlighted how captivating a record it is in practice too. Should be all over the radio from now till August, therefore.
