    It seems quite fitting that, on the day 2018’s Christmas number one in the UK is revealed later, that we should profile a song that almost made it over 10 years ago. Sort of. By the powers of technology, Katie Melua topped the chart the week before Christmas 2007 with the late Eva Cassidy’s vocals grafted onto her version of ‘What A Wonderful World’.

    And on its B-side was her version of a song first recorded by Judy Garland for the soundtrack of the musical film Meet Me In St. Louis back in 1944. Believe us when we say that this gentle acoustic reimagining from the ‘Nine Million Bicycles’ is a real Yuletide winter warmer.
