#PositiveInstagramPeople (05/10/2020)

After some uplifting, inspiring or just generally great new people to be following on your social media? Then you need to get to know our latest #PositiveInstagramPeople.

Each and every Monday, we point you in the general direction of another brilliant social media account to follow that’s bringing something positive, uplifting or inspiring to other’s feeds.

But we also wanna hear from you! If there’s an amazing account you think we should follow – and feature in a future blog – you can message us on our Instagram or leave your comments below. And you’ll wanna get your taste buds ready for this one. Just saying…

NAME: Mob Kitchen

INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @mobkitchen

WHY SHOULD I BE FOLLOWING THEM?

Now really, it is because of Claudia Winkleman (more on whom in another blog post later this week) that we are recommending this week’s account. She told us it was a game changer on a live web event we spoke to her on last Tuesday evening, and upon further investigation she is absolutely spot on.

Instagram is undoubtedly full of those “1 min recipe” food accounts these days, but Ben Lebus, the man who is the founder of Mob Kitchen, which has expanded into a series of YouTube videos and bestselling cookbooks, is undoubtedly the daddy when it comes to the format.

His account’s main aim in it’s bio is to showcase recipes and food ‘you’ll actually cook’. And if it looks anything as delicious as this French onion mac and cheese is in the video above, then we are practically inhaling our screens watching it on repeat approx 20 times an hour as we have done for the last week.

Mob Kitchen is the sort of account you want to go to if, like us, you’re idling at 2:34pm on Wednesday afternoon, head in notebook but empty of both ideas and coffee cup, constantly wondering what your next meal will be. Or just anytime you’re feeling hungry. It is quite simply that good.
