Alex’s End of Year Prizes 2019: The Nominations (plus your chance to vote in Reader’s Choice)

Happy December people! And it’s a special blog tonight, as we announce this year’s nominations for our sixth annual End of Year Prizes on the blog!

As always on Boxing Day, we do a special blog post honouring those from music, film, TV, books and comedy we’ve absolutely loved in the last twelve months with some spangly accolades, whilst face planting a turkey sandwich in a onesie.

As always, we have our usual categories with winners hand picked by us. But the destiny of one winners lies in the clammy palms of you, the lovely readers of this here blog, get to pick your winner in the Reader’s Choice award! It’s a bit like the Best Pop Act award at the Brits in the early 00s, but better.

Voting is now open, as you get to decide which famous face from our shortlist of five walks away with the title on 26th December. You can start voting right now at this corner of the interweb, right up until midnight on Boxing Day, when the voting closes.
