Firstly, Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow to any of our American readers. More on this heartwarming story here.

Next to a remarkable story on Fox News this week, of 9 year old Joey Johnson and his mum, Kelly. Despite having a rare genetic condition that means he is in a wheelchair, he’s taken part in an initiative to raise money to give the gift of a bike this Christmas to children in developing countries. Find out more about his efforts here.

Finally this week to Herald Publicist, and the trainer company Nike have just announced details of a special new pair of trainers, set to go on sale from December 7th, which have been designed especially for doctors and nurses to wear on duty to help support their posture and feet on long shifts.
