SO ALEX, WHY IS THIS YOUR SONG OF THE WEEK?

Cast your minds back if you will, to 10 years ago. Remember ‘Untouched’, the barnstorming electro rock masterpiece from sisterly Aussie duo The Veronicas? It was absolutely huge that spring, peaking inside the UK top 10 and achieved similar global success.

But despite a couple of lesser starred if modest follow ups, they’ve been largely quiet these last few years – a well publicised legal dispute with their former record label not helping matters.

But now we can rejoice, for Jessica and Lisa have returned with a brilliant new single. A thundering yet wistful electropop sad banger, ‘Think of Me’ has a galacial cool and a hooky melody that they carry off so well here. It’s the pop return you didn’t know you needed.
