The Good News Week (27/02/2019)

If you’re needing a midweek mood boost, then three of the most uplifting and inspiring stories we’ve found on our interweb travels in the last week is a surefire winner – this is The Good News Week.

If you enjoy the stories we’ve found this week, let us know – remember this is a place for you to share any good news you find too, be it local or national – and from wherever in the world you are!

So if you find something positive in the news this coming week that you think we should feature next Wednesday then you can leave your comments below or Tweet us with the hashtag #GoodNewsWeek!

Firstly this week to BBC News, and to the Isle of Wight, to the story of Josh Barry, a journalist and writer with cerebal palsy, who runs the entertainment website Beyond The Title and who has just written his autobiography – with his nose. More on this inspiring report can be seen here.

Do you shop on Etsy, the popular e-commerce website for unique and vintage craft, home and fashion items? Biz Journal reports this week about how they’re making commitments this week to ensure their shipping and postage practices are even greener and more carbon neutral in the next 11 years. More about their breakthrough plans can be read here.

And finally, to the Scottish Government website this week. They have now officially made the European Beaver a protected species under a new Scottish law – and they’re working closely with Scottish National Heritage to ensure their future preservation, as you’ll read about here.
