The man with all the answers on Pointless – and your Reader’s Choice winner on last year’s End of Year Prizes – Richard Osman returns for a second series of the barmy but endearing parlour game show where each day, a different celebrity contestant emerges champion. His guests this week are Countdown’s Rachel Riley, former JLS hunk turned farmer and presenter JB Gill and newsreader and Strictly favourite Katie Derham to name but a few.
- INSIDE THE TOWER OF LONDON (My5)
One of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, attracting millions of tourists each year, the Tower of London finally gets its own TV series for Channel 5. Not only does the history of the now 900 year old venue get covered, but you get to hear the lives about those who keep it running 365 days of the year today.
- LIAM BAKES (All4)
Even though he was voted out the tent of The Great British Bake Off long before last year’s semi-final, Liam Charles has established a neat career for himself outside the popular cake contest. Channel 4’s had a long history with breaking new culinary talent to even bigger platforms – Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver to name but two. With an easy, engaging style and some genuinely yummy bakes on his own show, could Liam be next? We think so.
