10 Years of Celebrity Juice

DISCLAIMER: Some of the video clips here may not be suitable for daytime viewing. You have been warned – or if you’re American, worrrrned.

It’s not many comedy shows that make it to 10 years. But after 20 series, copious rounds of ‘Lemon Head’, ‘Shouting One Out’ and ‘Spot the Golden Potato’, and probably over a thousand utterances of the words ‘Bang Tidy’, this week ITV2’s popular showbiz gossip based panel quiz show Celebrity Juice celebrated it’s tenth anniversary on air.

Conceived and hosted by Leigh Francis as his comic alter ego, Keith Lemon, and with team captains Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton, the show’s seen many changes over the last decade – from the appearance of additional regular panellists like Rufus Hound and Gino D’Acampo – to an evolution into a show where the bizarre and borderline Ofcom baiting is exploited.

With this in mind, we’ve sat down to go through the archives and bring you what we think are five of the best episodes of the best telly show ‘on’t telly’. What is that telly show? It’s Celebrity Juice. On’t telly. Happy 10th anniversary Keith and friends!

  • THE ‘KEITH AND VERNE TROYER MIMING DIFFERENT FILMS’ EPISODE

As Fearne quite rightly observes, this is one of our favourite moments ever in our lifetime’. Particularly the reenactment of Jurassic Park that has to be seen to be believed.

Also of note in this episode from series 4 back in 2010 – presenter and radio DJ, Dave Berry (then still engaged to former Sugababe Heidi Range, who is also in this episode), whilst trying to guess who he was in a round of Magic Wall, guessing that he must be Daniella Westbrook on account of a clue from Keith about nostrils (he was actually Fearne).

  • THE ‘LET’S MAKE HOLLY CRY BEFORE SHE GOES ON MATERNITY LEAVE’ EPISODE

Or, as Rufus Hound observed in this episode from series 2 in 2009, being akin to the moment when Poland got invaded. ‘Cry for our entertainment’ indeed.

  • THE ‘OLLY MURS LEARNING WHAT A NEW WORD MEANT’ EPISODE

Whilst appearing on the show with his The Xtra Factor co-host Caroline Flack on series 6 in 2011, Olly had his own personal lesson from Keith about what a certain word meant…

  • THE ‘GINO D’ACAMPO EXPLAINING HIS PHILOSOPHY ON TWITTER’ EPISODE

And you wonder why he has remained a regular on the show since? This clip (helped not a little by Holly’s This Morning co-host, Phillip Schofield) from series 4 in 2010 possibly explains why…

  • THE ‘CHRIS RAMSEY ROYALLY ROASTS KATIE HOPKINS’ EPISODE

Someone should have awarded the Geordie comedian all the points that week in this episode from series 10 in 2014 for owning the hateful rent-a-gob and then some…
