Back in our NME reading days – i.e. when we were in Sixth Form – The Killers, and indeed Brandon Flowers, were a bit of an obsession for us. And for what seemed like every year for about four years between 2006 and 2009, they released a brand new Christmas song.

This one, the first, a duet with Toni Halliday, former lead vocalist with Curve, was the absolute best. When Brandon sings with youthful, wild abandon, about how he wants to run around like a kid in the snow, we feel that bit more festive thus (and also about 17 or 18 again).
